In December, Nunhems acquires Paragon Seed Inc., a U.S. company specialized in the breeding, production and sales of lettuce varieties.

In October, Nunhems purchases all assets relating to the asparagus breeding program of the Dutch-based company Teboza Research, which specializes in the breeding and production of asparagus hybrid varieties.

In July, Nunhems acquires the South Korean vegetable seed company SeedEx, a hot pepper and brassica specialist.

In February, Nunhems signs an agreement with Unilever to co-develop new tomato varieties with added benefits in taste, nutrition and health. The agreement includes the formation of a shared research, development and business platform for innovative tomato varieties as well as the acquisition of Unilever’s tomato seed business by Nunhems.
