Nunhems launches Andrea, the first parthenocarpic (seedless) pickling cucumber.

With the establishment of Nunza B.V. as parent company and Nunhems Zaden B.V. as a wholly owned subsidiary to manage the business operations, the company acquires greater freedom for cooperation with other businesses.

Nunhems takes a new road in seed processing, introducing the Nunhems Pil (Pil 57) for lettuce and chicory witloof to the European market.

Nunhems is renamed and restructured into Nunhem's Zaden N.V., Producers and Breeders of Vegetable Seeds.

1916
Herman Meddens, Ab Sprenger and the Maastricht vegetable grower W. De Backer establish N.V. Zaaizaadvereeniging Nunhem, turning the Limburg property into a seed production farm.
