Nunhems moves to new location in South Korea
Anseong, South Korea.Nunhems has moved its South Korean activities to a new location in Anseong near Seoul. The new facilities cover an area of 7 hectares and host the Nunhems country administration as well as the breeding programs for cabbage and hot pepper for the Temperate Asia Pacific region.
The decision to move was taken last October. Following the acquisition of SeedEx in 2007 and the ongoing expansion of the Nunhems business in South Korea, there was a clear need for more space and a better connection to the major highway. As a result, the Nunhems staff from the former locations in Chongju (breeding) and Seoul (administration) are now united on a single location that also offers room foor future expansion.
The Chairman of the national seed association, Nunhems' CEO Douwe Zijp and Lex Welles, Managing Director for the Asia Pacific region, attended the official opening ceremony on September 23, and celebrated with the employees from Nunhems Korea.
