A seed company's share in a tasty cheeseburger

Nunhems USA to appear on the History Channel January 21, 2010

Parma, Idaho (USA).
The History Channel's Modern Marvels show will be premiering a new program titled Food Tech on January 21, 2010 at 9:00 p.m. EST in which Nunhems USA was part of the filming in August of 2008.
During filming, Nunhems' Head of Processing, Stacy Woodruff (right) explains the process of cleaning and sorting onion seed to Food Tech's Host, Bobby Bognar.
The episode, titled Cheeseburger & Fries will educate viewers on where each individual component in a cheeseburger originates. From the bun to the onion to the potatoes for the fries, Modern Marvels is exploring the details to this American favorite.

For the onion portion, Modern Marvels film crew focused on Nunhems' vegetable processing plant in Parma, Idaho. The producers learned how a variety of onion seed is created and how it is processed and shipped out the door to growers around the globe.
